 The Huntington Community Health Library aims to provide access to reliable, accurate health information via our print and online collections for the community at large.
LOCATION: Temporarily in the Health Sciences Library (HSL) on the 1st floor of the Wingate Building (above the Outpatient Center Dispensary, across from East Parking Structure).
HOURS: The HCHL will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday (as long as it is located in the Health Sciences Library).
STAFF: Professional librarians and trained volunteers are available to help you find health information.

COLLECTIONS: Approximately 690 consumer health related books, 70 electronic books/reports, 11 consumer health newsletters/journals and 600+ online videos. Print books may be checked out by patients, their families and Huntington staff.
SERVICES:
In addition to books, magazines, videos and brochures, patrons are provided with Internet access and a printer. DVD viewing capabilities and photocopying services are also available. HCHL subscribes to consumer health resources online which you and hospital physicians may utilize as research tools.

- UpToDate for Patients - Over 400 medical topics for the consumer. Only those articles designated as "Patient Information" are provided in full.
- MDConsult Patient Education handouts - Patient information provided in English and Spanish on a wide variety of conditions and treatments.
- CareNotes (via Health Reference Center Academic) - Concise materials address patient condition, treatment, laboratory tests, follow-up care, psychosocial issues, continuing health, and the most frequently administered drugs.
- Natural Standard - An evidence-based product that provides information on complementary and alternative medicine products and techniques for consumers and professionals.
