Huntington Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program

Huntington Memorial Hospital offers an outstanding, highly academic and internationally recognized residency training program in internal medicine. As a large, community based, university affiliated medical center, our internal medicine residents receive comprehensive, cutting edge training in all aspects of general medicine and its subspecialties. The curriculum is a balanced core of clinical medicine, outpatient ambulatory medicine and research experiences. Innovative programs such as a global medicine rotation in Tanzania, hospitalist programs, and palliative medicine make Huntington Hospital a unique and desirable place to train.
Faculty at Huntington Hospital are professors of clinical medicine at USC Keck School of Medicine and are actively involved in bedside teaching, the core lecture program, and cutting edge research. Internal medicine residents from Huntington Hospital show excellent performance on board exams, have a very high rate of competitive fellowship acceptance, and place well in private, group and academic medical positions.

"Before starting residency, I was in search of a program that would offer a diverse patient population, a pleasant environment to learn in, as well as autonomy. The internal medicine residency program at Huntington Hospital did just that. It provided the academic curriculum necessary to make me a confident physician, while still being able to enjoy my family and social life in beautiful Southern California. Our residency program offers plenty of one-on-one contact with faculty, and research opportunities as well. I was fortunate enough to travel with the Phil Simon clinic to Tanzania and collect data for my research project there".
